Chapter 1: Frame 1
(by Meg, added on 9 December 2012 07:41 AM)

Picture: A average sized, modern-looking house. The walkway leading up to the house is dusted with snow, and snowdrifts are piled up high on the front lawn. Christmas lights are strung on the chain-link fence, and from the roof. The lights are not on; just the green-and-red bulbs can be seen dimly against the darker background of a mid-winter twilight. A small sign hung over the front door proclaims: WE ARE PROUD TO SUPPORT ALBERTAN COMMUNITIES BY ADHEREING to the 100 MILE DIET. Inside the house, seen from the lit kitchen window, a few people are sitting down to dinner.

Chapter 2: Frame 2
(by Meg, added on 9 December 2012 07:46 AM)

Picture: inside the kitchen of the house. 2 people are at the dinner table, and 2 more places are set. On the plates is a thick piece of meat. Arranged around the meat on each plate is a bunch of noodles and a soggy-looking piece of vegetable. In the middle of the table are a few pint-sized Mason jars. A little bit of preserves sits in the bottom of each one, except for one of the jars, which stands empty. The person sitting closest to the kitchen window is a girl wearing a fitting long-sleeved sweater and jeans. Her long thick hair is tied back in a ponytail that goes down to the middle of her back. There are large bags under her small, slightly slanting eyes. Fork in right hand, knife in left. There's a big bandage around her right thumb, a bit of blood is visible from underneath it. She's sitting with her legs crossed stiffly, and her face is arranged in a very irritable looking pout. The girl sitting beside her is wearing a tight, short-sleeved shirt that really shows off the pale skin tone of her arms. She's got a bandage too, its on her right bicep and the cut it covers appears to be having trouble healing as well. Her left hand is raised up towards her mouth which is open wide in a huge yawn. A nice bruise is visible on her bent elbow. She's wearing a pair of slacks that are a little to short for her, and there's a discoloured spot that can be seen forming just above her ankle. She has short, dull-looking hair.

Chapter 3: Frame 3
(by Meg, added on 9 December 2012 07:51 AM)

Picture: Same kitchen, same table, same girls. There's a guy standing beside the place across the table from the girls. He's dressed in a white vest and baggy blue pants. He's tall and lanky and has short, coarse-looking hair. There are big dark circles under his eyes. The skin of his pale face is covered with spots of discolouration. He is shivering slightly. There are bruises and bandages all over his arms. He's holding a sailor cap in his hand and waving weakly at the girls, who he is checking out with his hollow, dull eyes. His other hand is clutching at the chair beside him; his legs are bending stiffly and it looks rather painful. He's grinning feverishly at the girls, the brittle-looking, corkscrewed hair of his beard very visible. More than a few of his teeth are missing from his smile; mostly he's flashing his gums, which are red and bleeding. The girls are returning the favour. The one closest to the window is in the process of turning her head towards the guy, long, flowing ponytail caught in mid-flip. The smile she's returning him displays a full set of teeth; the portion of the gum-line that's visible is swollen and red. The girl beside her is batting her long eyelashes in the same direction. Her lips are pursed in a whistle.
Guy: Hey ladies! What's up?
