Chapter 1: A weird day at school
(by Lindsay Cowell, added on 16 March 2009 06:43 AM)

Caitlin Morrice walked into school. She was feeling very happy today. She smiled at her best friend Eona aiffall. "How are you today, Aeona?" She asked. "Oooo, my eyes are stinging," complained Aeona. "I hope I'm not going blind." "Oh, you silly goose, Aeona, of course you're not going blind." but all through assembly Aeona kept rubbing her eyes. By the time assembly was over she was completely blind. Caitlin had to guide her to their form room. Their teacher, Miss Liech, glared at Aeona. "what's wrong with your eyes girl?" "i think she's gone blind Miss." said Caitlin answering for Aeona, and smiling at her teacher. "nonsense child, aeona is not Blind, she can stand in a corner on one leg facing the wall, until she deigns to open her eyes." so poor Aeona spent the whole day on one leg because she couldn't open her eyes because she was blind. By the end of the day Miss Liech was blind too. She spent all day rubbing her eyes. Caitlin guided Aeona home in a daze, with one big question running through her mind, had she caused Miss Liech and Aeona to go blind, just by smiling at them?

Chapter 2: The recall
(by Omar Alvarado, added on 5 September 2010 07:42 PM)

As she arrived at her home, Caitlin tried to remember everything she had done before school. Brush teeth, dress, eat, and then she couldn't remember anything else. Had she eaten something? Did she drink something? What had given her this strange power. Blinding people with a smile? "I thought smiles were supposed to be friendly," asked Caitlin to herself. She could find nothing about it. How would she tell her parents. Would they go blind as well? Would she have to spend the rest of her days frowning instead of smiling?
